Online Personal Trainer in Montreal

A remote, personalized coaching, no matter where you are in the world!

Thanks to a program built just for you

You want to get back into exercise, but you don't have time to go to the gym.

Work days are packed. There are kids, unexpected things, commutes. A fixed-time session at a gym isn't always realistic.

Online personal training fits perfectly for people with a busy schedule.

You train from home or from the office. No more spending 2 hours in traffic or having to find a free squat rack at peak hours at your favorite gym.

Many clients chose this option for its simplicity. A workout outfit and a good internet connection are enough to get a personalized training session, adapted to your goals and your schedule.

You don't need a full gym: your online personal trainer adapts the exercises to whatever equipment you have and the space you're training in.

I want to be clear on one point: I run the remote sessions myself, the same way I've done in person with my clients for almost 10 years now.

Whether you're in Montreal and want to train at home, at the office or in your own training space, you get the same personalized support as in person.

You can even train during breaks while working from home. Many of my clients do that to make the most of their time.

"Raphaël, I Want to Get Back Into Exercise, But I Don't Have Time to Travel", I Have the Solution!

That's the sentence that comes up most from the people I coach remotely.

Demanding jobs. Packed days. Sometimes also, being unable to get to a gym for a thousand and one personal reasons.

So the session happens at home, or wherever you choose.

And this time, it's no longer a question of scheduling, but of persistence and motivation.

How Does an Online Personal Training Session Work?

We meet online at the time we've set. The number of sessions depends on how much time you have, but we can schedule two to three online workouts a week.

I'm right in front of you on camera. I show you the movement, keep time, count reps, take notes and correct your posture.

It's a session run live. I'm with you from start to finish, every minute of the workout, with the same energy as in person.

Two 30-Minute Sessions a Week for 6 Weeks

That's the format I recommend to the people I coach.

Thirty minutes, full effort, so that time isn't a barrier to your progress.

And if you're wondering whether you can lose weight or get stronger through a phone screen, some of the people I coach have trained this way for over 5 years, with visible, very impressive results.

After our first session, I can finally assess your level and offer you the training program that fits best, taking into account the constraints of remote training, the time you're ready to invest, and the equipment you have.

It evolves over the weeks, based on the results we get from your commitment and consistency.

What Equipment Do You Need?

Not much, really.

Resistance bands, dumbbells, a mat. That's plenty to make progress.

We can also do a lot of bodyweight work, with no equipment at all.

That's also the advantage of hiring a personal trainer: I give you the exercises to do and adapt them to your training conditions and whatever equipment you have during the online session.

What Fitness Goal Can You Pursue With a Personal Trainer?

Weight loss is by far the most common goal in the requests I get for online coaching. But this type of training works just as well for strength training and building muscle mass.

Only the way you train and the program change, and I'm there to build it and adapt it to your personal goal.

Among the people I coach remotely, we have very different goals: prepping for a bikini competition, getting back in shape, specific sessions for athletes, and more.

Online personal training lets you adapt sessions to your goal, but also to your level, your training environment and your equipment.

How Much Does Online Personal Training Cost in Montreal?

I offer 30-minute sessions at $50.

For a package of 2 sessions a week, 8 sessions a month, that's an investment in your health of $400 a month.

If your insurance allows it, I can issue receipts for reimbursement.

There's no gym membership to pay on top of that, which is an advantage worth factoring in.

The warm-up isn't included either, I ask you to do that on your own. So sessions effectively run 45 minutes. But you only pay for 30.

Questions About Online Personal Training

How much does an online personal training session cost?

$50 for a 30-minute session, usually sold as two sessions a week, about $400 a month. The program and follow-up are included, and there's no gym membership to pay on top.

Do I need equipment to train online?

No. One client trains at home with resistance bands, 6 lb dumbbells and a mat. The program is built around what you already have, and bodyweight only if you have nothing.

I've never played sports, is online training right for me?

Yes. Out of about a hundred client files, thirteen people had never played sports before starting. On camera, we learn each movement empty-handed before adding weight, and I correct you live. It works well for beginners.

Are two 30-minute sessions a week enough?

It's the format I sell the most, and several people have trained with me this way for five years. The results are very good. But by increasing the number of sessions, you can move faster. Anything is possible.

I don't live in Montreal, does that change anything?

No. I coach people in Canada, France, Luxembourg and Switzerland. All you need is an internet connection, no matter where you are in the world.

I have back or shoulder pain, can I still train online?

Out of about a hundred client files, 24 people reported pain or an injury when they started, back and knees leading. No problem, we adapt the program and work around it. I lead the training, strengthen the area, and work to get rid of the pain.
